Basketball Game Preview: Tahoka Bulldogs vs. Post Antelopes

Tahoka and Post are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Tahoka Bulldogs will take on the Post Antelopes at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Tahoka turned things around against Ralls on Tuesday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 56-29 victory over the Jackrabbits.

Brogan Stone went supernova for Tahoka, going 11 for 22 en route to 30 points. The dominant performance gave Stone a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasiah Perez, who posted four points in addition to seven assists and four steals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Post). They blew past Ralls, posting a 71-32 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Antelopes have posted since December 12, 2024.

Tahoka's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-16. As for Post, their victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-12.

Tahoka strolled past Post in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 57-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tahoka since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
