Volleyball Recap: Hayden Extends Winning Streak to Three

Hayden entered their tilt with Westminster School at Oak Mountain on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Knights by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in August.

Hayden's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chloe Watts, who had seven kills and two aces. Watts is crushing it when it comes to kills: she's had at least five every time she's taken the court this season. Laci Cochran was another key player, getting six kills and two aces.

They weren't the only good server: Hayden was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in four consecutive contests.

Hayden's win bumped their record up to 19-9. As for Westminster School at Oak Mountain, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Hayden has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Corner on the 20th. As for Westminster School at Oak Mountain, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Holy Spirit Catholic at 6:00 p.m.
