Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Burns brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. They never let Bessemer City get on the board and left with a 7-0 win on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for Burns in their matchups with Bessemer City: they've now won four in a row.

Burns' win bumped their record up to 5-7-2. As for Cherryville, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.
