Football Recap: Jayden Wallace's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Shoshone over Butte County + How To Watch

If Shoshone was feeling good fresh off their 50-26 takedown of Camas County last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Indians took a hard 36-22 fall against the Butte County Pirates on Friday. The Indians were not able to make up for their loss to the Pirates from their previous meeting back in October of 2015.

Several Indians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jayden Wallace, who rushed for 94 yards and one score on only 13 carries. Ty Russell was in the mix too, providing Shoshone with two TDs.

Shoshone's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Butte County, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Shoshone has already played their next matchup, a 0-0 win against Castleford on the 26th. As for Butte County, they will square off against Logos at 7:00 p.m. on October 4. The Knights' defense has only allowed nine points per game this season, so the Pirates' offense will have their work cut out for them.
