Basketball Recap: Derek Nanke's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Plattsmouth over Mount Michael Benedictine

Plattsmouth lost against Mount Michael Benedictine back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Blue Devils took a 48-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights.

Plattsmouth lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Derek Nanke, who posted nine points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Traceson Skalberg, who had 12 points and five rebounds.

Plattsmouth's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Plattsmouth will host Platteview at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Blue Devils their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Mount Michael Benedictine, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Bishop Neumann at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
