Devin Huegel Tops All Others This Week

Starting off the list is University Prep's Devin Huegel, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Huegel picked up 155 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

University Prep's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-2. Huegel and University Prep are taking a road trip to square off against Anderson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

A Season-Best Effort from Logan Rasmussen Leads West Valley over Central Valley

On Friday, West Valley got the W thanks in part to Logan Rasmussen playing the best football he has all season. Rasmussen picked up 100 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He has become a key player for West Valley: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two receiving touchdowns, but 0-4 otherwise.

For the year, Rasmussen has averaged 14.4 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 5.29 receiving yards per game. This year he is averaging 41.71 receiving yards.

Lassen Gets a Boost from Moore in 27-20 Victory

Dathen Moore's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his seventh-straight game with 106+ rushing yards dating back to last season. He rushed for 171 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 50 yards.

University Prep's probably not too fond of Moore given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in November of 2023 (the last time Moore saw the Panthers), he rushed for 133 yards and two touchdowns.

Tysen Conoboy Makes It Two for Lassen

Keeping Moore company is Tysen Conoboy, a fellow Lassen player. He rushed for a yards.

For the year, Conoboy has averaged 3.7 rushing yards per game.
