Volleyball Recap: Stevens Point Gets the Win

Stevens Point picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the New Berlin West Vikings 2-1.

Stevens Point can attribute much of their success to Katie Kornowski, who had 25 assists and six digs. Kornowski has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more assists the last 48 times she's played. Karli Torhorst also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Stevens Point's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for New Berlin West, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.

Stevens Point will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Bay Port at 4:00 p.m. As for New Berlin West, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Wisconsin Lutheran at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
