Basketball Recap: Clark Takes a Loss

Clark and Crane Medical squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Clark had to settle for second. They were dealt an 83-26 defeat at the hands of the Crane Medical Cougars. The Eagles lost against the Cougars in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 64-50 score last time.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Crane Medical to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ramiyah Puckett, who on her way to 20 points and six boards. The dominant performance also gave Puckett a new career-high in shooting accuracy (75%). Tiana Simmons was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Clark and nudges their season record down to 12-7-1. As for Crane Medical, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season.

Clark does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Crane Medical, they will take on Latin at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Latin comes in on eight and Crane Medical on three.
