Thompson Valley is 7-2 against Roosevelt since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Eagles will host the Roughriders at 4:00 p.m. The timing isn't great for Thompson Valley: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Roosevelt has snatched up 11 consecutive wins on the road dating back to last season.

Finn McAlpin and Sam Engelland stepped up to the plate in a big way. McAlpin got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one double, while Engelland went 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one double. Thompson Valley is 2-1 when Engelland posts three or more hits, but 2-10 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Keagan Schra, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, Roosevelt never let their opponents score on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Berthoud, sneaking past 2-0. The two-run effort marked the Roughriders' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
Brady Mylander made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 15 over 6.2 innings pitched. Those 15 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kayden Bryant, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Roosevelt's win bumped their record up to 15-0. As for Thompson Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Thompson Valley hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .312. However, it's not like Roosevelt struggles in that department as they've averaged .382. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
