Grand Island extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Broxton Barrientos. The Grand Island Islanders walked away with a 55-42 victory over the Elkhorn South Storm on Friday thanks in part to Barrientos, who en route to 18 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

When it comes to explaining why Elkhorn South lost, don't look at Lincoln Schwarz. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 21 points and 11 boards.

The win got Grand Island back to even at 11-11. As for Elkhorn South, they dropped their record down to 6-15 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.
