            The Lamesa Tornadoes will head out to  face off against the Brownfield Cubs  at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
Last Monday, Lamesa didn't have quite enough to beat Eunice and fell  5-4. The  defeat   continues a  trend for the Tornadoes in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost four in a row.
  Noah Rodriguez and  Xavier Zorola stepped up to the plate in a big way.  Rodriguez  scored a  run while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances, while  Zorola  scored a  run while going 2-for-2.  Jonah Muniz was another key player,  going 1-for-2 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Brownfield entered their tilt with Coahoma on Tuesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with  a   7-4  victory over the Bulldogs.
 Lamesa's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Brownfield, their win bumped their record up to 14-5.
 Lamesa was able to grind out a solid  victory over Brownfield in their previous matchup  back in March, winning  10-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tornadoes since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
