Basketball Recap: East Jessamine Comes Up Short

After flying high against Burgin last Tuesday, East Jessamine came back down to earth. The East Jessamine Jaguars came up short against the Lexington Christian Eagles on Saturday, falling 68-44. The Jaguars were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in February.

East Jessamine's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Lexington Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

East Jessamine and Lexington Christian should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings. East Jessamine (ranked 50th) will meet Gibbs (ranked 318th) at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lexington Christian will square off against Boyd Christian at 2:35 p.m. on Friday up 151 places (16 vs. 167).
