Baseball Game Preview: Caldera vs. Mountain View Cougars

For the second straight game, Caldera will face off against Mountain View. Caldera will challenge Mountain View at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Caldera is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

Caldera is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Mountain View just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars.

Nolan Clark was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and two RBI. That triple was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Colton Robertson, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

The victory (which was Mountain View's fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-9. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Caldera, they now have a losing record of 11-12.
