Soccer Recap: Sandy Spring Friends Comes Up Short

Sandy Spring Friends was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Field Falcons. While losing is never fun, Sandy Spring Friends can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 134th in Maryland, while Field are ranked 12th in District of Columbia).

Sandy Spring Friends' goal came courtesy of Sadie Donnelly, who's now up to three this season.

Sandy Spring Friends' defeat dropped their record down to 4-6-1. As for Field, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That somehow still isn't as good as their 9-1-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Sandy Spring Friends nor Field have any future games scheduled.
