Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Shorecrest Prep couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the Northside Christian Mustangs on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Chargers' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-19, 25-14.

Despite the defeat, Shorecrest Prep saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sara Ferris had nine assists and five digs.

Shorecrest Prep's loss dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Northside Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season.

Shorecrest Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northside Christian, they will face off against Indian Rocks Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
