Football Recap: Arlington Beats Haltom for Their Third Straight Win + How To Watch

Arlington extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 3-0. They walked away with a 28-21 victory over the Haltom Buffalos. The win almost wasn't to be: the Colts were down 21-7 in the third quarter.

Max Reviere was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 115 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. Those 115 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Arlington was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 213 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 196 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

As for Haltom, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4. They were up 21-7 in the third quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Despite the loss, Haltom still got an impressive performance from Vudrico Roberson, who rushed for 237 yards and one score while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. Roberson showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 69 yards. Another player making a difference was Nathaniel Golatt, who rushed for 45 yards and a pair of TDs.

Looking ahead, Arlington is headed away from home for the first time to square off against South Grand Prairie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Colts will need to watch out since the Warriors have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Haltom, they will host Lamar at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
