Football Recap: South Eugene Comes Up Short

South Eugene lost against Eagle Point back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Axe took a blow against the Eagles, falling 42-6.

Felix Olietti threw for 96 yards and one TD while completing 81.8% of his passes. Jackson Ingram was his top target, picking up 69 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Rocco Higbee rushed for 90 yards on only ten carries.

South Eugene's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Eagle Point, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Coincidentally, South Eugene and Eagle Point will both be playing Springfield the next time they take the field. The Axe will host the Millers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
