Recap: Wright City Lumberjax vs. Sequoyah Indians
The Wright City Lumberjax waltzed into their matchup Friday with seven straight wins but they left with eight. They rang in the new year with a 44-36 victory over Sequoyah.
It was another big night for Kase Lindly, who scored 20 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Wright City's points. Conner Green was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 13 rebounds.
Wright City's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-1. As for Sequoyah, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wright City won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Oktaha on January 6th. Oktaha will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Sequoyah, they will head out on the road to face off against Regent Prep at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
