Baseball Recap: Charlotte's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Charlotte won the last time they faced Fowlerville and things went their way on Thursday too. The Orioles walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Gladiators.

Dylan Hafner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Ty Bowzer was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Charlotte is undefeated when Bowzer posts two or more runs, but 6-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Aapala, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases and one RBI.

Charlotte's win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-8. As for Fowlerville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-13.

Charlotte will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Gladiators: the pair will be back at it again later today.
