Riverside Christian is on a ten-game streak of home losses (dating back to last season), Chiefland a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Riverside Christian Wranglers will take on the Chiefland Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Riverside Christian will be strutting in after a victory while Chiefland will be coming in after a loss.
Riverside Christian scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They skirted past Bronson 41-39. That looming 41-39 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Riverside Christian yet this season.
Meanwhile, Chiefland ended up a good deal behind Trenton on Tuesday and lost 40-21. While losing is never fun, Chiefland can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 324th, while Trenton is ranked 108th).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Nyasia Bivins, who scored eight points along with 13 rebounds and four blocks. Another player making a difference was Laila Ingram, who scored five points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Riverside Christian's win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 1-14. As for Chiefland, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.
