Baseball Recap: 11 Straight Road Victories for J.H. Rose

J.H. Rose won the last time they faced Perquimans and things went their way on Thursday too. The J.H. Rose Rampants blew past the Perquimans Pirates 13-3. That's two games straight that the Rampants have won by exactly ten runs.

Josh Roberson was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Roberson was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Demarcus McCray was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI and one double. Matthew Aldridge was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
