Softball Recap: Boonsboro Picks Up 14th Straight Win at Home

There's no place like home for Boonsboro, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They put the hurt on the Smithsburg Leopards with a sharp 11-1 win on Wednesday. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by eight runs or more this season.

Boonsboro's victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Smithsburg, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Boonsboro will challenge rival Catoctin at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Warriors 0.6, the Cougars 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
