Football Game Preview: Kosciusko Whippets vs. Amanda Elzy Panthers + Official Tickets

The Kosciusko Whippets will venture away from home to take on the Amanda Elzy Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kosciusko is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 39.6 points per game this season.

Kosciusko is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Yazoo City: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Whippets blew the Indians out of the water with a 46-0 final score. Given the Whippets' advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi football rankings (they are ranked 21st, while the Indians are ranked 134th) , the win on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cj Sandifer produced another solid performance rushing for 103 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Amanda Elzy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against O'Bannon, falling 50-26. On the bright side, the 26- point effort marked the Panthers' highest-scoring contest to date.

The victory made it two in a row for Kosciusko and bumps their season record up to 8-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 points in those games. As for Amanda Elzy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.
