Coeur d'Alene faced Lake City in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Vikings came out on top against the Timberwolves by a score of 11-8. The game snapped a strange streak: the last five times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Ellie Henderson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kyndal Bridge, who went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Coeur d'Alene was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lake City only posted a batting average of .258.

Coeur d'Alene's win bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Lake City, their loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-7-1.

Coming up, Coeur d'Alene will venture away from home to take on Post Falls at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight.
