After a string of three wins, Garfield County's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 67-39 loss at the hands of the Grass Range/Winnett Rangers. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Montana basketball rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Rangers are ranked 28th).
Garfield County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Grass Range/Winnett, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.
Garfield County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Grass Range/Winnett, they will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Centerville at 6:30 p.m. on February 8th.
