Basketball Recap: Bartlett Takes a Loss

Bartlett was the 50-41 winner over Uxbridge when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bartlett Indians lost 61-39 to the Uxbridge Spartans on Friday. The match marked the Indians' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Among those leading the charge was Brady Esposito, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. Thatcher Sweeney was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Bartlett's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Uxbridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bartlett will head out to challenge Narragansett Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Uxbridge, they will venture away from home to square off against Southbridge at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Uxbridge is facing Southbridge at the right time seeing as Southbridge is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
