Basketball Recap: Kennett Comes Up Short at Home Against Bakersfield

Kennett unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 57-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bakersfield Lions on Saturday.

Bakersfield has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Kennett will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on New Madrid County Central at 7:30 p.m. on December 16. As for Bakersfield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gainesville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
