Basketball Recap: Sleepy Eye Now 13-2 over Last 15 Games

Sleepy Eye waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They snuck past the Cedar Mountain Cougars with a 49-44 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 87-61 back in December of 2024.

Sleepy Eye is also on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.2 points per game. As for Cedar Mountain, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 15-8.

Sleepy Eye will square off against Lester Prairie at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday. One thing working in Lester Prairie's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten contests. As for Cedar Mountain, they will head out to challenge St. Mary's at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
