League recap: Danville tops East Knox to extend winning streak

Danville extended the longest winning streak in Mid-Buckeye this week by beating East Knox, 46-21. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.

Northridge moved up to 564 from 622 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Vikings were able to make move up by falling to Johnstown-Monroe 55-6.

Northridge's Bryant Garee and Chase Hess have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Garee has thrown for 469 yards this season, while Hess, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 21 catches for 276 yards. The Johnnies' Cody Farley leads the league in rushing yards with 1374.

Johnstown-Monroe's Tyler Thompson is a mere 14 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. Thompson has rushed for 986 yards on 124 carries so far this year.

Darby Riley's team made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,349 from 11,912. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 55-6 victory over the Vikings last week.
