 Pilgrim scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Thursday. They were the clear victor by  a  14-4 margin over the Central Knights. The high-scoring effort was just what Pilgrim needed considering they were shutout in their previous   game.
  AJ Ferreira was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He  struck out six batters over  two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and not a single walk). Ferreira was also big at the plate,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Dylan Roberts, who  went 2-for-4 with four  RBI, two  doubles,  and a  run.  Michael Mainelli was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs while going 2-for-3.
 Pilgrim's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Central, they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-7.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pilgrim will take on Portsmouth at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Pilgrim's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9  runs per game  this season, so Portsmouth's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Central, they will be playing at home against South Kingstown at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. South Kingstown will roll in looking for their  seventh straight  victory, something Central surely won't give up without a fight.
