Basketball Recap: Lighthouse Christian Comes Up Short

Lighthouse Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Hagerman Pirates 91-24. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Ky Kendall was his usual excellent self, going 15 for 22 en route to 35 points and seven steals for Hagerman. That's the most points Kendall has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Martin Gonzalez, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 16 points and four steals.

Lighthouse Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Hagerman, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lighthouse Christian has already played their next match (against Sun Valley Community), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Hagerman will take on Murtaugh at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hagerman is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.7 points per game this season.
