Soccer Game Preview: Splendora vs. Chaparral

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Splendora face off against the Chaparral at 4:30 p.m. on Friday... Splendora's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Splendora fell victim to Port Neches-Groves and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Indians, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 256th, while the Indians are ranked 105th).

Meanwhile, after soaring to five goals the game before, Chaparral was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to Kilgore.

Chaparral now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Splendora, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
