Calallen proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 77) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Tuloso-Midway Warriors & Cherokees 30-27. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Calallen's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Connor Klostermann, who threw for 180 yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 37 yards and one score. Reese Rusher got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed 18 in total. Ian Perez delivered a perfect 3-3 game. One of the most memorable scores? An impressive kickoff return for a touchdown from Rusher.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Calallen's defense and their three sacks. Joaquin Trevino was another key player, throwing for 121 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Calallen's record is now 6-2. As for Tuloso-Midway, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 6-2.
