Volleyball Recap: Rifle Bears vs. Glenwood Springs Demons
Rifle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Glenwood Springs Demons. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Demons this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss on October 9th.
The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-14.
Serenity Tollefson paced Rifle's offense, picking up two kills. Tollefson got some help from Kensee Boyd and her three assists. Boyd was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.
Glenwood Springs was led to victory by Kylee Bair and Grace Sims. Bair had three digs and three aces, while Sims hit 80% for eight kills and four aces and one assist. Those four aces gave Sims a new career-high.
Rifle's defeat dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Glenwood Springs, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-2.
