Volleyball Recap: Williston Takes a Loss

Williston lost against Gainesville back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Red Devils lost 3-0 to the Hurricanes. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-19, 25-18.

Berkley Brooks paced Williston's offense, picking up five kills. Brooks got some help from Kailey Davis and her four assists. Estella Fugate controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Charlotte Judge was a one-woman wrecking crew For Gainesville. as she had four digs and two aces. Judge is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last nine games she's played dating back to last season.

Williston's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Gainesville, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Williston will face off against Union County at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Gainesville, they will square off against Trinity Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
