If Columbus School for Girls was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Grandview Heights on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Unicorns came up short against the Buckeye Valley Barons on Monday, falling 3-0. The Unicorns' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Columbus School for Girls was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-23, 25-21.

Several Unicorns players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kiersten Cahill, who had four digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Isabella Mcintyre, who had four digs, two aces, and one block.

Columbus School for Girls now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Buckeye Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-3.
