Soccer Recap: Mountain Island Charter's Run of Three Straight Victories Now Over

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Mountain Island Charter was not quite Lincoln Charter's equal in the second half on Thursday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Mountain Island Charter came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while Lincoln Charter are ranked 135th).

Mountain Island Charter's goal came courtesy of Eden Lewis, who's now up to three this season.

The defeat snapped Mountain Island Charter's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-4 record. As for Lincoln Charter, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-5.
