Knox County had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 37-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Paul Lutheran Saints on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Saints: they've now lost four in a row.

Despite the loss, Knox County still got an impressive performance from Cooper Clair, who rushed for 261 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per carry. Clair really tore up the turf during one magnificent 71-yard run.

Even though they lost, Knox County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 310 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2023.

Knox County will face off against Plattsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Paul Lutheran, they will take on Northwest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
