Basketball Recap: Rivercrest Takes a Loss

Rivercrest lost against Manila back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Rivercrest Colts lost 73-51 to the Manila Lions.

When it comes to explaining why Rivercrest lost, don't look at Destiny Burks. Despite the final result, she went 7-for-16 to rack up 20 points. Burks has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 18 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Randashia Booker, who posted eight points and six assists.

Rivercrest's defeat dropped their record down to 18-11. As for Manila, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 25-5.

As of now, neither Rivercrest nor Manila have any future games scheduled.
