Recap: Old Orchard Beach Seagulls vs. Orono Riots
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Old Orchard Beach Seagulls can now relate to. They were dealt a 46-18 loss at the hands of Orono on Saturday. Old Orchard Beach's loss signaled the end of their 17-game winning streak dating back to last season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Orono to victory, but perhaps none more so than Pierce Walston, who rushed for 106 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries, and also picked up 104 receiving yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Ben Francis, who rushed for 153 yards and two touchdowns.
Old Orchard Beach's defeat dropped their record down to 10-1. As for Orono, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
Old Orchard Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Orono also has no future games currently scheduled.
