Softball Recap: Fitzgerald Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Victory

Fitzgerald waltzed into their match on Saturday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They never let the Eastpointe Shamrocks get on the board and left with a 17-0 win. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 contests by six runs or more this season.

Briana Parsons was incredible, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with five stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in May of 2024. Kae'La Crosby was another key player, going 1-for-2 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Fitzgerald's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-9. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Eastpointe, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

As of now, neither Fitzgerald nor the Shamrocks have any future games scheduled.
