Volleyball Game Preview: Irvington Preparatory Academy vs. Ben Davis Giants

Irvington Preparatory Academy will head out on the road to face off against the Ben Davis Giants at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Irvington Preparatory Academy lost 3-0 to Indiana Christian Academy on Monday. Irvington Preparatory Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Irvington Preparatory Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore John Curry had 20 digs and one assist. Curry has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last seven times he's played.

Meanwhile, Ben Davis unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against North Central, falling 3-0.

While Ben Davis was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-16, 25-21.

Irvington Preparatory Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Ben Davis, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 7-6.
