Soccer Game Preview: Porter vs. Weslaco East

The Porter Cowboys will venture away from home to face off against the Weslaco East Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Porter is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Pace just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. Neither they nor the Vikings could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw. The result kept the Cowboys happy, as they haven't lost a game since January 10th.

Meanwhile, Weslaco East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Donna.

Weslaco East's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. Porter's draw makes their record 6-3-1 this season.
