Poynette lost to Marshall back in February, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Pumas came out on top against the Cardinals by a score of 88-80. The game was the first time the Pumas have beaten the Cardinals on their court since December 2, 2016.

Poynette has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Poynette will face off against Platteville at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marshall, they will square off against Lakeside Lutheran at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
