Recap: Oxon Hill Clippers vs. Bowie Bulldogs

The Oxon Hill Clippers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 26 points or more this season. They put the hurt on Bowie with a sharp 65-39 win on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but Oxon Hill sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

Leading Oxon Hill to victory were Damia Worthy and Dashani Coleman. Worthy scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and four steals, while Coleman scored 16 points along with six rebounds and four steals. The contest was Worthy's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Madison Williams, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds.

Despite the loss, Bowie saw an underclassman step up: Amira Kittles scored 13 points. The match was Kittles' third in a row with at least ten points.

Even though they lost, Bowie were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Oxon Hill only pulled down 20 offensive rebounds.

Oxon Hill's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 39.62 points. As for Bowie, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.

Oxon Hill will be home for the holidays to greet Douglass at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Douglass will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 104th, while Oxon Hill is ranked 35th). Bowie will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Northwestern at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th. Northwestern's defense has only allowed 26 points per game this season, so Bowie's offense will have their work cut out for Bowie.
