Baseball Game Preview: Heritage Academy Heroes vs. Thunderbird Adventist Academy

The Heritage Academy Heroes will square off against Thunderbird Adventist Academy at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Heritage Academy has given up an average of 7.4 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Heritage Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was David Mota, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Mota is becoming a predictor of the Heroes' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 0-4 when he doesn't). Diego Porcari also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Thunderbird Adventist Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 15-0 to Wickenburg Christian Academy. The matchup marked the first time this year in which Thunderbird Adventist Academy was not able to get on the board.

Heritage Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Thunderbird Adventist Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
