The Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves and the Thornwood Thunderbirds will face off at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday without much rest having both just played. Thornton Fractional South will be strutting in after a victory while Thornwood will be coming in after a defeat.

Thornton Fractional South picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They pulled ahead with a 46-45 photo finish over Thornton. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Wolves.

Meanwhile, Thornwood was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 65-61 to Hammond Morton.

Thornton Fractional South is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.4 points per game. As for Thornwood, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
