Baseball Recap: Deer Park Takes a Loss

Deer Park had lost 14 straight at home dating back to last season, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 1-13 to make it 15. They lost 16-1 to the Indian Hill Braves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Braves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-0 on Monday.

As for Indian Hill, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. Considering they have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Indian Hill's part, Simon Gall was a standout: he went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave Gall a new career-high. Noah Coffman also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
