Catawba Ridge put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the Northwestern Trojans get on the board and left with a 16-0 win. The Copperheads might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by seven runs or more this season.

Catawba Ridge's victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-0. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Northwestern, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Catawba Ridge will face off against rival Indian Land at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Copperheads 1, the Warriors 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Northwestern is set to take on their familiar foe Clover at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
