Baseball Recap: Newark Academy Comes Up Short

Newark Academy lost against Gill St. Bernard last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Minutemen came up short against the Knights, falling 12-1. The Minutemen have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Newark Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Epstein, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Newark Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Gill St. Bernard's, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Newark Academy will venture away from home to challenge Belleville at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Gill St. Bernard's, they will square off against Oratory Prep at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
